Visual System
Founded to honor the life and work of acclaimed Serbian painter and sculptor Milan Tucović, "Milan’s Days" is an annual festival held in Požega and Gorobilje. The event brings together youth to explore the intersections of visual arts and literature. The objective was to craft an identity that translates a profound artistic legacy into a welcoming, engaging space, fostering creativity and active participation among the next generation.
We developed a dynamic design system anchored by the festival's initials, "MD", paired with a central motif of a child drawn directly from the details of Tucović’s paintings. To keep the brand living and breathing, this character is updated each year - bringing the painter's artistic language to life in a playful and accessible way. To bridge the gap between historical reverence and modern engagement, the visual language emphasizes clarity, warmth, and structured minimalism. This ensures the brand framework remains coherent while directly connecting the young audience with Tucović’s work.
The identity fully materializes in the physical field. By extending this versatile system across a range of tangible touchpoints - including exhibition posters, notebooks, tote bags, apparel, and digital campaigns - we created a seamless visual experience. The result is a dignified yet vibrant festival ecosystem that not only honors a great artist's past but actively nurtures the creative freedom of children and teens in the present.
